They are looking for a Corporate Travel Lead to join their excellent team to be based at their HQ in London.

The role

As a Corporate Travel Lead, you will oversee all aspects of travel management within the company. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate travel policies, cost optimization strategies, and industry-specific travel requirements. The primary goal is to ensure efficient and cost-effective travel arrangements for employees while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

The role is required to work closely with Human Resources, IS&D and HSE functions, ensuring all policies and procedures are aligned to services supplied both internal and externally and any systems used.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive travel policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the Oil and Gas industry and organisation’s distinctive global footprint.
  • Coordinate the alignment and integration of travel policies, processes and systems with acquired companies, in close collaboration with multiple other functions.
  • Manage relationships with travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other service providers to negotiate favourable contracts and rates.
  • Oversee – via external third party provider – the booking and coordination of domestic and international (but not local) travel for employees, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation and visas.
  • Ensure compliance with travel regulations, safety standards, and duty of care obligations, particularly in high-risk regions.
  • Analyse travel data and expenses trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel booking procedures, visa applications, and travel insurance.
  • Collaborate with the HR and HSES teams to align travel policies with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage the travel budget and ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of travel expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to negotiate contracts with travel service providers, including airlines, hotels, and car rental companies, to secure the best rates and services to Harbour Energy.
  • Collaborate with IS&D and the EMS & Business Systems teams to develop and manage the lifecycle of corporate travel systems.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, travel technology advancements, and regulatory changes affecting corporate travel.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on travel policies, safety protocols, and travel management tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in corporate travel management, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience within a safety critical, international Organisation essential, with Oil and Gas experience advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with travel suppliers.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems, expense management software, and other travel-related tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with travel risk management principles and emergency response procedures.
  • Certification in travel management (e.g., CCTE, CTC) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
