Job Description
TPF Recruitment, Surrey's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, are currently supporting a market leading firm of chartered accountants based in the GU area.

We are recruiting for a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join a fantastic tax team, in an exciting and progressive position. This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients. The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients. You will also provide advisory services to your clients. The team deals with a wide range of business tax work including business reconstructions and demergers, general corporate tax advisory support, capital allowances, EIS and SEIS, R&D, and share options. There will be an opportunity to get involved in a variety of areas and the business will provide support and training to develop your knowledge and skills in more technical areas.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee tax compliance services and provide advisory services to a wide range of clients.
  2. Opportunity to support in niche advisory areas, based on experience/ aspirations.
  3. Manage a substantial portfolio of interesting clients.
  4. Develop professional relationships with clients and within the business.
  5. Guide and supervise less experienced colleagues.
  6. Support, train, mentor and advise others.
  7. Challenge current practice - drive improvements and champion change.
  8. Lead on complex projects.

Requirements

  1. CTA and/or ACA/ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified.
  2. Extensive accountancy practice experience.
  3. An in depth, up to date, knowledge of taxation with the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
  4. Project and staff management experience.
  5. Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio.
  6. Demonstrable post qualified experience.
