New - we are actively seeking an ambitious Corporate Solicitor (1 PQE+) to join a highly regarded firm based in the Thames Valley.

This is a Chambers-rated top-tier corporate practice which offers excellent exposure to an impressive array of both regional, city and international clients.

You can expect exposure to complex M&A, Private Equity and a diverse range of corporate matters from day one.

The positions offer the opportunity to work on a broad variety of matters. You will have experience of and typically be involved in the following:

  • M&A
  • Private Equity / Venture Capital
  • Capital markets listings / IPOs
  • Public company takeovers
  • Joint Ventures
  • Group restructurings
  • Corporate advisory matters

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor to join an expanding Corporate team based in the Thames Valley.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised with a keen eye for detail, proactive and, most importantly, a team player.

This role would ideally suit an ambitious Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE experience who is looking to grow their career at a leading independent law firm.

The successful individual will be supported and encouraged to assist in advising large corporate clients (often international organisations), ambitious investee companies and high net worth individuals on M&A, early stage investments, reorganisations, shareholder arrangements, option schemes and other day-to-day corporate law matters.

Skills / Experience Required

You will have between 1 and 5 years' PQE and relevant corporate law experience gained with a recognised regional or London commercial firm.

The work of the team is high-quality and diverse and covers a broad range of corporate transactional and advisory work, including:

  • Private M&A (both buy side and sell side)
  • Private equity (principally management advisory and portfolio work)
  • High growth companies / shareholders agreements and articles / equity fundraising
  • Corporate rationalisations / reorganisations
  • General corporate advisory
  • Partnership law
  • Inward investment and cross border

The ideal individual will have trained with a recognised city or regional practice and be capable of demonstrating a consistently strong academic record.

This person is required on a permanent basis working as part of an experienced team undertaking M&A, and general corporate advice work, ensuring that individual financial targets and objectives are met in line with the Department business plan.

An excellent knowledge of transactional processes is required and this opportunity requires excellent IT/keyboard skills, planning and organisational skills as well as a flexible and positive attitude to your work.
