IT Procurement Manager

In the role of IT Procurement Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the sourcing of IS services for Premier Inn & Restaurants and Whitbread Group requirements across the UK and Germany.

Working closely with the IT Leadership Team following a recent global technology transformation, you'll be involved in strategic planning, negotiation, and coordination to ensure that Whitbread has strong contracts in place and delivers the relevant strategic projects working together with key business functions including hotel & restaurants, commercial, data, corporate, infrastructure, and Germany.

Location: Dunstable based hybrid - a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with some travel to London Holborn office.

Job Type: 9-month Fixed Term Contract

What you’ll do:

• Procurement Strategy - Development, implementation & maintenance of optimal sourcing strategies for all key spend areas across the portfolio.
• Manage the entire contract life cycle from initial negotiation to contract execution and renewal.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities and contribute to delivering long-term value and savings.
• Tender & Negotiation - Tender management, negotiation, and implementation of supplier agreements.
• Supplier Management - Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, helping to build strong relationships and supporting the wider team with supplier performance and review meetings.
• Ensure third-party risk management and compliance with procurement policies, including supplier diversity and governance frameworks.
• Relationship Management - Partner with senior stakeholders, including Directors and Executives, to help align procurement activity with broader business goals and technology initiatives.
• HSSE, Diversity & CSR - Embed HSSE, diversity, and CSR strategies throughout the category team’s activities.

What we need:

• Strong IS procurement experience and knowledge managing IT service categories.
• Experienced in a broad range of sourcing strategies from strategy development and implementation.
• Ideally, you will be educated to degree level.
• Highly credible in front of the Executive, senior stakeholders, and the executives of key suppliers.
• Experience of managing and delivering relevant new contracts and contract renewals.
• Experience of delivering strategic IT delivery projects.
