Key Requirements:
Degree in Social Work, Youth Services, or related field.
Experience working in children’s services, corporate parenting, or a related field.
In-depth understanding of corporate parenting responsibilities and the legal framework surrounding children in care.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate Corporate Parenting Panel meetings and ensure good quality reports are provided to the Panel on performance in relation to children in care and care leavers and progress against the corporate parenting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with partners to develop an implementation plan for the Corporate Parenting Strategy for Bradford to ensure the full engagement of the Trust, Council, partner agencies and local businesses in achieving the best outcomes for children in care and care leavers.
Co-ordinate the response from the Trust, Council, and partner agencies to themes identified through young people led Corporate Parenting Meetings and ensure actions are completed and communicated to the Children in Care Council and Corporate Parenting Panel.
Progress opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships, employment, leisure and social activities both in the "family firm" and from the wider partnership for children in care and care leavers.
