Job description

Senior Tax Manager – Corporate M&A (will consider a strong Manager ready for a step up)

My client has an exciting opportunity to join their Corporate M&A tax team. This team is recognised as a leader in cross-border M&A, working with some of the largest corporations globally. This role offers the chance to lead and deliver some of the largest Corporate Transaction projects at a global level.

You will gain experience in all core areas of the deal cycle, including tax structuring, due diligence, funds flows, SPA reviews, and refinancings. You will also be exposed to international structuring techniques and overseas tax regimes.

This team also has a strong track record of sending team members to New York and other jurisdictions for secondments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tax services efficiently and successfully, building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Proactively manage existing clients and contribute to winning new work.
  • Manage the delivery of complex transaction tax projects, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Build networks and relationships internally and externally.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to team strategy and operations.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Corporate / International tax advisory within the M&A space is preferred.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
  • ACA/ATT/CTA or international equivalent / Law qualification.
  • Experience in M&A tax is advantageous but we will also consider candidates from a Corporate Tax background with interests in transitioning to Transaction tax.
  • Strong tax technical skills.
