Location: Police Headquarters, Northallerton, with opportunities for hybrid working.
Contract: North Yorkshire Police contract. Permanent.
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-16:30. The post holder is required to participate in an on-call system to provide 24-hour cover when fully trained in the role.
Salary: Scale 6 SCP 27-29 £32,247 - £34,329. You will receive a standby allowance for being available for call out, and then a further payment for the time that you are required to be working while on-call.

The Corporate Communications Officer roles are new within the team and we are looking for a range of communications skills to support our ambitions.
You will be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of implementing a communications strategy. You are probably looking for your second role in your communications career and looking to really stretch yourself. Perhaps you find yourself caught in an aspect of communications and are keen to widen your experience within a corporate communications team. Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager you will support the development of public trust and confidence in North Yorkshire Police. This role requires the capability of working across a number of corporate communications disciplines to ensure that both the public and our employees are well-informed and engaged: internal; external; and digital. You will be joining an experienced team of professional communications who will support your development. When trained and capable you will join the Corporate Communications on-call rota which provides 24/7 support for the force in managing critical incidents.
