Job title: Corporate Commercial Business Development Executive

My client, a global commercial Insurance Brokerage, is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join their established and growing corporate Commercial team.

You will be responsible for actively growing and sourcing new business along with retaining existing clients. An outstanding communicator with exceptional negotiation skills and the desire to achieve is essential.

You will be willing to network, grow your portfolio, and upsell whenever possible.

Ideally, you will have insurance industry experience and the desire to achieve your objectives while keeping your clients at the heart of all that you do.

Responsibilities:

• Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities while exceeding your targets. There is a strong focus on monetary goals, but more importantly, how you engage with your clients and the impact on our reputation within the market.
• Contribute to our overall target as a strong performer and great teammate, acting with the highest integrity.
• Attend trade-related dinners, AGMs, trade shows, expos, etc., relying heavily on your interpersonal skills and ability to network at all levels to seize new opportunities.
• Utilize outstanding communication skills and negotiation abilities to secure the most appropriate terms with Underwriters and Insurers.

Qualifications:

• Have a keen eye for New Business and ideally possess sales management experience gained in a commercial setting.
• A consistent track record of delivering against targets within a regulated, measurable framework is vital.
• Must be comfortable generating leads and building pipelines autonomously; this role is about making things happen and providing the best possible service and business outcomes.
• Eligibility to work in the UK with the ability to travel.
