Titan Settlement & Custody (TS&C) is a subsidiary of Titan Wealth. Titan Settlement & Custody is an FCA regulated investment firm that provides:

  1. Custody services to predominantly discretionary fund managers (DFMs) and independent financial advisors (IFAs).
  2. Clearing and settlement services mainly on an agency basis for its DFMs and IFAs.
  3. Trade execution services mainly for its DFMs, IFAs and institutional clients.
  4. Utilising the same core infrastructure, Titan Settlement & Custody also serves a significant number of institutional broker-dealers and institutional investor clients.

The Corporate Actions Manager will lead the corporate actions team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of complex corporate actions events. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Asset Servicing within clearing and custody operations, with a focus on corporate actions such as dividends, mergers, acquisitions, rights issues, and stock splits. This role involves managing the end-to-end corporate actions lifecycle, maintaining relationships with custodians and clients, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the corporate actions team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance performance.
  • Assign and monitor workloads, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of processed events.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence across Institutional Operations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of all corporate actions’ events, including mandatory, voluntary, and elective actions (dividends, mergers, splits, takeovers, etc.).
  • Manage proxy voting service with proxy provider as required by clients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate collection and distribution of entitlements to clients.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including custodians, depositories, clearinghouses, and clients to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of securities movements and cash payments associated with corporate actions.
  • Ensure that corporate actions are reflected correctly in client portfolios, mitigating risks of discrepancies.
  • Establish a comprehensive understanding of how working in a CASS environment impacts the Corporate Actions in general and ensure familiarity with breach reporting requirements are consistent across the operations team.
  • Investigate reconciliation discrepancies ensuring all are resolved and cleared at the earliest opportunity in line with CASS requirements, support, and coach the team to encourage self-sufficiency in managing and resolving reconciliation queries.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client escalations related to corporate actions, providing timely and detailed responses.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve corporate actions workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and error reduction.
  • Support broader GPP by carrying any other duties as may reasonably be required for them in their role.
  • Adhere to FCA regulations and Consumer Duty outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Corporate Actions with an ability to demonstrate technical knowhow across the breadth of both mandatory and non-mandatory events, income, and proxy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid stakeholder management with an ability to build strong working partnerships internally, and with external vendors.
  • Comprehensive work experience in either finance/ asset management, with a solid understanding of global custody and global markets essential.
  • US withholding tax knowledge of use, additional market/ CSD tax experience of benefit.
  • Motivated self-starter who is willing to ask questions to excel as their career progresses.
  • Strong Excel skills desirable.
