This is a great opportunity to join the Brand and Marketing Strategy Team. As copywriter, you'll be working closely with the Business Banking team to ensure that our Business Banking communications are clear to our customers, in our tone of voice and on brand.
The role involves working on an exciting project to re-launch Santander’s Business Bank, therefore we are looking for a copywriter who has a passion for creativity and a good understanding of digital technology and financial services.
You’ll work in an agile environment providing verbal brand feedback and direction to help deliver brand vision and compliance.
The difference you’ll make:
- Learning our tone of voice and writing style inside and out, then using it to create compelling content for Business Banking communications.
- Managing key internal stakeholders in the development and approval of your communications.
- Building an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our customers.
- Writing with accessibility, empathy and vulnerability in mind so that our customers can clearly understand our communications without feeling confused, scared or overwhelmed.
- Ensuring your written communications meet key milestones and are delivered on time.
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- Sound understanding of communications in financial services or a similar environment.
- A passion for creativity with the ability to write compelling copy.
- An impeccable eye for detail.
- Good understanding of digital technology and commercial awareness of Santander products and channels.
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Experience of writing with UX principles in mind to offer our customers a seamless end-to-end experience within our products and services.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification with competent IT skills, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What else you need to know:
This role is a 2-year fixed term contract based in Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, delivering the best outcomes for our customers and helping each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.
We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangements within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.
If you’re interested in this role but with part-time hours or a job-share, we would still love to hear from you and discuss these.
