This role will join our embedded agency model – &NatWest. This innovative &model provides our client, NatWest Group (NatWest Group is the largest business and commercial bank in the UK, with a leading retail business) with a dedicated on-site creative and production team. We deliver high quality, large volume, fast turnaround creative campaigns and solutions for several well-known banking brands (NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Coutts) across all channels.

Who are we looking for

A talented and enthusiastic Copywriter to join our team and contribute to crafting compelling narratives for NatWest Group. As a key member of the creative team, you'll write engaging copy for a variety of channels, including digital, print, social media, and video, ensuring it aligns with the overall brand voice and tone. You'll contribute to creative strategies, and bring fresh ideas to the table. A passion for creative writing and a strong understanding of brand messaging are essential for producing high-quality work that resonates with our target audiences.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of writing effective copy for different platforms. You're comfortable working collaboratively within a team and as an individual, and possess a keen eye for detail. Your portfolio demonstrates versatility, showcasing experience with various copy formats, from social media posts to website content and marketing emails. You're organised, able to manage your time effectively, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced creative environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including email, social media, print collateral, digital adverts, radio, and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other team members to develop creative concepts and ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
  • Understanding and complying with brand tone of voice guidelines and style
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on current copywriting trends and best practices.
  • Work closely with the client team to understand their objectives and deliver high-quality work that meets their needs.

Key Attributes:

  • Proven track record of writing effective and engaging copy for various platforms.
  • Strong understanding of brand messaging and the ability to adapt tone and style accordingly.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable presenting ideas to creative director and clients
  • Write clear, persuasive, original copy through the various iterations of the project
  • Comfortable amending, revising or redeveloping copy in response to feedback from the creative director or clients
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong proofreading/editing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to creative problem-solving.
