Overview

PayWest Pines Behavioral Hospital is a new 144-bed inpatient behavioral health facility serving Denver area residents located at 11455 Huron Street, Westminster, CO and is a joint venture between Intermountain Health and Acadia Healthcare. The hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and intensive outpatient services to address the growing need for accessible, high-quality behavioral health care in the Denver metro area.

We are seeking passionate people with a caring attitude. Under general direction, our Cooks implement menus and coordinate food preparation and serve meals.

This is for a full-time, Mon-Fri 11a-7:30p shift.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.
  2. Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
  3. Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
  4. Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
  5. Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.
  6. Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.
  7. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  1. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.
  3. Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  1. ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.

Pay Range: $18 to $23/hr.
