The post holder is a member of the catering team responsible for providing catering services within an eating disorder service and in-house coffee shop to staff, patients, and visitors. This will include preparing, cooking, and serving food and beverages to standard recipes, cleaning, completion of paperwork, ordering of supplies, cash handling, and provision of hospitalities. The shift pattern will be over 7 days between the hours of 7.30 am and 6.30 pm.

An opportunity has arisen for a Cook within the Trust Hotel Service's Team. This post involves shift work including between the hours of 07.30 am - 6.30 pm. This is to provide a catering service in the eating disorder kitchen. Applicants should be highly motivated, customer-focused, reliable, flexible, and willing to work at short notice. The ability to work alone and as part of a team is essential. Experience is required, along with the ability to demonstrate good culinary skills and knowledge, compliance with HACCP allergens, and associated paperwork.
Knowledge is required in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment as you will be working in a demanding environment. Preparing, cooking, and serving meals in line with Hygiene Codes of Practice and legislation, with particular attention to quantities (portion control), quality, and the appearance of meals. Assisting with maintaining the highest possible standard of hygiene and health and safety in line with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, and assisting with menu planning.
Candidates should have a good general education and must hold a minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (706/1), and have knowledge of allergens. You must be willing to demonstrate a commitment to undertake further training and qualifications. IT literacy is required, and candidates should be able to travel independently across sites.
