Job description

Job Title: Conveyancing Paralegal – Harpenden

A well-established law firm in Harpenden has a vacancy for a Conveyancing Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join its growing conveyancing team. This firm is known for its excellent work-life balance and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
  • Processing Land Registry applications and registrations
  • Conducting priority searches, bankruptcy searches and Land Registry checks
  • Preparing contract packs and handling pre- and post-completion tasks
  • Drafting and submitting SDLT returns to HMRC

About You:

  • Have at least 12 months' experience of assisting fee-earners in a busy conveyancing department
  • Familiarity with Land Registry and SDLT submission portals
  • Excellent attention to detail
