A Conveyancing Legal Assistant is required to join a small residential conveyancing department in the Chichester, West Sussex area. The Legal Assistant will join a conveyancing team which is part of an established private practice law firm.
The Firm A private practice with offices in Hampshire providing a comprehensive legal service to business and private individuals. The firm has a long history and a fantastic working culture and atmosphere.
The Role The Conveyancing Legal Assistant duties will support the residential fee earner with their residential conveyancing case load and will involve dealing with all aspects post-exchange.
Duties
Providing administration and file preparation after exchange.
Completion day procedural work.
Stamp duty submission.
HM Land registration.
Other post-completion tasks.
The Candidate
Previous Conveyancing experience of 6 months essential.
Confident, personable and enthusiastic with excellent people skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Competent use of IT packages such as MS Office, Word, and Excel.
Preferably, good customer-facing experience or work experience in a law firm in non-contentious law.
