Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Our client, a growing and successful firm, is looking to recruit a professional and highly organised Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team in Battle.

This is a permanent position, Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm office based.

Responsibilities as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant

1. To support the Fee Earner by providing legal assistance to conveyancers and clients.
2. Actioning legal procedures as directed.
3. Dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone.
4. Process matters in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5. Maintaining files by effective file management.
6. Dealing with clients efficiently and politely and ensuring that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Fee Earner.
7. Attend to clients, take instructions, and conduct letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
8. Improve and enhance the company's client base by effective liaison with existing clients.
9. Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.
10. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

1. Ability to audio type and experience in a Legal Assistant role are essential.
2. Residential Conveyancing experience is essential.
3. Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients.
4. Ability to produce high quality work (with excellent accuracy and attention to detail), even when under pressure.
5. Working knowledge of computers and software with good keyboard skills.
6. Practical experience of handling client enquiries both face to face and by telephone.

Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Location: Eastbourne

Salary: £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Full Time: Monday - Friday
