Controls Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Controls Engineer at ACE, you will deliver projects to customers. Your primary job functions will include:

  1. Participating in the design, development, and documentation of systems which meet our customers' requirements.
  2. Identifying gaps in existing OT networks and computing systems and making risk-based recommendations for improvement.
  3. Communicating with customers, both at the office and on-site, to present your work and come up with unique solutions.
  4. Designing and implementing OT network and cybersecurity measures to safeguard OT devices.
  5. Engaging with other ACE engineers to teach and learn project methodologies.
  6. Traveling to customer sites to implement and test project deliverables.
  7. Meeting with Project Managers and ACE ownership to assess project statuses, customer satisfaction and assist with mentoring less experienced ACE engineers.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing industries.
  2. Strong written and oral communication skills that allow you to communicate complicated control and cybersecurity concepts both internally and externally.
  3. Understanding of process control or other manufacturing processes.
  4. Prior experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and MES technologies.
  5. Thorough knowledge of business application software (MS Office package).
  6. Displays a positive and professional demeanor.
  7. Demonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style.
  8. Willing to work off-hours when required.
  9. Must possess a valid driver's license.
  10. Willing to submit to drug testing and/or background checks as mandated for a) employment, and b) customer contract requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  2. Certifications from Industry Technology Partners.
  3. Manufacturing cybersecurity certification such as GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent a plus.
