About
We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer to join our clients team within the Maritime industry. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of control systems, including requirement analysis, design, simulation, and testing. This role calls for expertise in control system modeling, hardware specification, and diagnostics, with an emphasis on ensuring system functionality and safety. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink is essential, while experience in microprocessor/DSP hardware, PLC/HMI programming, and system validation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
System Requirements & Design
* Analyse system requirements and develop models that meet project specifications and functional needs.
* Design, simulate, and optimize control systems in MATLAB/Simulink to ensure functionality and performance standards are met.
* Specify and integrate hardware and software components essential for system control.
Testing & Troubleshooting
* Test and evaluate control systems to verify compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure system functionality across various conditions.
* Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions, enhancing system reliability.
Proactive Problem-Solving
* Proactively identify and mitigate potential control system issues.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of control systems with other subsystems.
Qualifications / Skills Required
Education
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
* Proven experience in control system design, modeling, and analysis with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Hands-on experience in control system testing and troubleshooting.
* Strong problem-solving skills and experience managing complex technical projects.
Skills
* Strong foundation in control system design principles.
* Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for system design and validation.
