Job Description

Murray McIntosh are searching for a Controls & Calibration Engineer to work for a key client of ours on a contract basis as detailed below:

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate the engine controller with systems like aftertreatment, transmission, immobiliser, dashboard, telematics, FOTA, and security.
  • Calibrate sensors and actuators across the engine and after treatment system.
  • Develop and optimize control algorithms.
  • Define and validate requirements using HiL simulations and dynamometer testing.
  • Manage calibration submission and review.
  • Configure and test diagnostics, including fault detection and resolution.
  • Provide technical support, including field investigations and issue rectification.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of gasoline/diesel engine fundamentals and automotive electrical/electronic systems, particularly Tier 1 control systems, interface tools, and software documentation.
  • Expertise in ECUs, sensors, actuators, and CAN-based communication (J1939, UDS, CCP), plus diagnostic systems.
  • Experience in test procedure development and continuous improvement is highly desirable
