Position Description

As part of the growth of the Airedale by Modine Controls Department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Controls BMS Engineer to join the team working in a BMS Commissioning Engineer role. The role will give opportunity to gain many skill sets, from BMS commissioning to cutting-edge water system control and new technologies. The role offers a strong grounding to progress towards Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site commissioning of controls projects and system integration (BMS/Energy Monitoring/HVAC controls/upgrade works)
2. Site surveys / progress reviews
3. Supervise installation sub-contractors where required
4. Troubleshoot site issues
5. Liaise with Customers and Project Engineers.
6. Customer Training
7. Provide technical and engineering support where required.
8. Actively work with the controls team to increase efficiency and achieve prescribed targets.
9. Maintain a high standard of quality control
10. Produce precise reports
11. Gain, maintain and grow valuable client relationships
12. Be flexible in types of work carried out.
13. Be prepared to work away from home when required.
14. Work overtime when required.

Required Education & Qualifications

1. Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 software and controllers
2. Capable of understanding and modifying control strategies
3. Understanding of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)
4. Knowledge of IT systems, servers and communication networks
5. Competent electrical knowledge and capable of understanding electrical drawings
6. Logical and methodical approach to problem solving using own initiative is a must
7. Good written & communication skills
8. Team player
9. CSCS or equivalent
10. Can-do attitude
11. Attention to detail
