Job description

Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate; other locations cannot be considered.

Controls Assurance Analyst

This is a great job for someone who is passionate about controls assurance.

A bit about the job:

This role operates within the Controls Assurance team who are responsible for supporting the service auditor to deliver the AAF Internal Controls Report (International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402 and the Technical Release AAF 01/06) and helping to implement and maintain a robust control framework across Aviva Investors globally. The role involves managing the Aviva Investors Financial Reporting Control Framework (FRCF) ITCG submission to Aviva Group and engaging with the business to support the delivery of controls testing by the service auditor. As the Controls Assurance owner of the iCare system, you will be responsible for the timely identification of deficiencies and exceptions, inputting and tracking them into the remediation process. You will continuously enhance processes and controls, collaborate with the wider 1st Line controls teams, undertake special projects as required, and provide support and input to planning, risk assessments, training, board papers, writing of reports, and ad-hoc analysis.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  1. Experience of delivering to high quality within tight timescales.
  2. A committed team player can do attitude, supportive to colleagues.
  3. Proactive and articulate individual, comfortable with dealing with a range of colleagues to a senior level.
  4. Evidence of strong self-motivation and ability to proactively resolve issues.
  5. Good to have but not essential: qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA; experience in a control, risk or audit environment.
