Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Controller to join an established and growing manufacturing company in the Oxford County area! Reporting to the President, the Controller will lead a small team and manage the overall accounting and finance function of the company. This includes providing timely and accurate information including financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This position is ideal for hands-on accounting professionals who are looking for an opportunity to become a key member of a growing company! Please note that this is an IN-OFFICE position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting and analysis
  • Oversee a small accounting team (AP, AR, and Payroll)
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, capital budgeting, and annual/monthly forecast
  • Maintain and develop financial systems, processes, and procedures
  • Create and review analysis and reports of financial and operating data
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Corporate Governance and Compliance including GST/HST, corporate taxes, etc.
  • Act as primary liaison for external auditors, providing accurate and timely financial information
  • Provide coaching and direction to a small team
  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and CPA designation is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong system skills are essential for success in this position
  • This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • This is an in-office position, working collaboratively as a key member of the Management team!
