Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Travel: Mainly UK-based with occasional international travel

Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking for a role where you can see your designs come to life on site?
We're representing a well-established and fast-growing control systems and automation solutions provider working across a range of industries, including water treatment, waste processing, industrial manufacturing, and fire training systems.
Due to increasing project demand, they are looking for a skilled engineer with a strong electrical and automation background to join their expanding team and play a key role in delivering tailored solutions from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop PLC and SCADA-based control systems
2. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
3. Collaborate with internal engineers and project teams to deliver complete solutions
4. Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and service support
5. Troubleshoot, test, and refine system performance
6. Produce documentation including technical reports, test results, and handover packs

Ideal Candidate:

1. Minimum 5 years' experience in PLC/SCADA programming and controls engineering
2. Competent in reading and working from electrical drawings and P&IDs
3. Familiar with Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 (beneficial)
4. Background in control systems within process or industrial environments
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
6. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel when required
7. Based within commutable distance to Uttoxeter, or willing to relocate
