Control Systems Engineer - South Yorkshire - Permanent - Siemens / AutoCAD - £60-65k + overtime + BUPA

Location: South Yorkshire


Work Pattern: 4 Days in Office, 1 Remote


Software: Siemens TIA Portal / AutoCAD


Samuel Frank is recruiting for a South Yorkshire based engineering company as they're looking to add a new Control Systems Engineer to the team on a staff basis. The successful Control Systems Engineer will work on a wide variety of complex projects and could progress to more senior roles in the department.


Control Systems Engineer's Key Responsibilities:

  1. Full project lifecycle of automated control systems.
  2. Programming Siemens PLC / HMI / SCADA and Safety related functions.
  3. Creation of FSD / SDS / FAT / SAT and other relevant design documentation.
  4. Prepare estimates, tenders and design specifications.
  5. Design electrical distribution / motor control centres and PLC control systems.

Control Systems Engineer's Main Requirements:

  1. Good Electrical design experience using AutoCAD.
  2. Programming PLC software (ideally have Siemens experience).
  3. Current / recent experience of working in a turnkey project environment.
  4. Experienced in control panel/MCC design, ideally with Siemens equipment.
  5. Sound knowledge of industrial control systems including electrical distribution equipment, motor control centres and PLC control panels.
  6. Qualified to HNC/HND or Degree level.
  7. Role will suit a Controls Engineer with around 6-8 years related experience.
  8. Ideally have some knowledge of AC/DC drive systems.

The office is commutable from Leeds, Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Wakefield, Chesterfield, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Rotherham, Batley, Bradford and Chesterfield.
