The Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing contractual agreements, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks across civil engineering projects. Working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will ensure that contracts are executed effectively, projects remain on track, and financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure contracts adhere to UK construction laws, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, manage variations, and resolve disputes efficiently.
Financial & Commercial Control: Manage budgets, payments, claims, and cost forecasting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and legal advisors to ensure smooth project delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Proven track record in contract management within the civil engineering or construction industry.
Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of NEC, JCT, or FIDIC contracts.
Skills: Excellent negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Legal & Commercial Awareness: Strong grasp of contract law, risk management, and dispute resolution.
