Contracts Manager

CLC is one of the UK’s leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups with a turnover of c.£250m, around 1,000 employees and a national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, education, and more.

CLC has grown significantly over the last few years and has ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years.

To support our continued growth we are looking for a Contract Manager to join our team in Walsall.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of a number of projects ranging from £40k to £2M, ensuring efficient and timely completions.

You must possess:

1. Previous experience working as a Contracts Manager
2. A thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and Fire stopping products
3. Ability to undertake site surveys to scope and select appropriate solutions to the issues presented
4. Understanding of the importance of collating evidence for all completed works using systems such as bolster or site audit pro
5. Capable of overseeing numerous projects and the management of both directly employed operatives and sub-contractors
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
7. Ability to produce health & safety documentation in line with current legislation
8. Excellent people management skills
9. Suitable Contract Manager qualifications
10. SMSTS

Ideally, you will have a Surveying/Building degree or equivalent qualification and experience in contract management in a maintenance/refurbishment environment.
