Contracts Manager - Civils/Groundworks (residential projects)
Position: Contracts Manager
Salary: £80k-100k basic + generous car allowance, fuel card, annual bonuses and more!
Overview:
Our client is an industry leader in residential groundworks/civils projects, operating across 7 regions and continuing to expand year on year. This company has an excellent reputation for employee retention, with a strong focus on continuous internal progression.
The continuous growth has created the need for a Contracts Manager to join the team in Cambridgeshire. The successful CM will have an active presence on various sites, predominantly in and around Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing project delivery, ensuring high standards, within budget and H&S compliance.
- Organising all site teams, equipment and materials on-site.
- Monitoring competence of site staff and sub-contractors, ensuring H&S policies are adhered to.
- Managing overall job performance, working closely with the commercial team on variations, costings, and project updates.
- Facilitating clear communication between site and office, managing client relationships efficiently.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Preferably from a construction degree background, but open to candidates with relevant experience.
- Prior experience as a Contracts Manager (3+ years).
- Experience in groundworks/civils projects, such as roadworks, site layout, drainage, etc.
- Experience in residential/new build developments.
- Ability to oversee various teams delivering projects with a focus on H&S compliance.
- Strong communication skills, experienced in client management, with excellent English reading & writing skills.
- Authorised to work in the UK + UK driving license (no sponsorship on offer).
