Contracts Manager

Our client specialises in foundation services, including mini-piling, piling, underpinning, and restricted access piling, providing expert solutions for the construction industry across the South East and the UK.

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their Specialist Foundations Team in Hertfordshire. This dynamic role involves managing and coordinating foundation projects across the UK, with a focus on delivering groundworks, piling, underpinning, and new foundation projects to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundworks or piling and be comfortable with regular travel across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of specialist foundation projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct site visits nationwide to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards.
  • Manage site teams, ensuring health and safety compliance and efficient workflows.
  • Provide guidance and support to site personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office team to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving challenges proactively.
  • Participate in training programmes to build expertise in specialist foundation techniques.

Requirements:

  • CSCS card (minimum requirement).
  • Experience in groundworks, including piling, underpinning, and new foundations (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Categories BE and/or C1 driving licence (not essential).
  • Knowledge of specialist foundation works.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK as part of the role.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to work.
