Salary: £45k-£50k (negotiable and DOE) + package

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of contracts within our roofing division. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management, budgeting, and contract negotiation skills, alongside an in-depth knowledge of roofing systems and Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring costs, ensuring profitability, preparing Health and Safety documentation, and ensuring smooth coordination between clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and assess costs, as well as overall budget performance for all contracts, ensuring projects stay within scope and financial targets.
2. Oversee the preparation and monitoring of project costs at the handover stage, ensuring that all aspects of the project are tracked and controlled.
3. Attend internal contract meetings to review the status and ensure proper coordination and communication across the team.
4. Negotiate with suppliers, sub-contractors, and service providers to secure the best value for services and materials.
5. Ensure agreed service centre margins and profitability targets are met by driving efficiency and cost-effective operations.
6. Prepare and manage Health and Safety documentation in line with WPA arrangements, ensuring that contracts are completed safely and that WPA standards are adhered to.
7. Ensure service reviews are being conducted by Operatives and Contracts Supervisors, maintaining high service standards and quality control.
8. Utilize the WPA portal for accurate recording of site activity, progress, and documentation, ensuring real-time project tracking and reporting.
9. Foster positive relationships and effective communication with client representatives to maintain client satisfaction and ensure project success.

Knowledge and Experience:

1. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualified.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience of roofing systems and practices across various roofing applications.
3. Strong commercial awareness with a deep understanding of budgets, cost control, and project delivery.
4. Proven experience in contract management, including overseeing multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
5. Proficient in using various systems, software, and materials related to roofing projects.
6. A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, including site set-up and compliance requirements.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
8. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

1. SMSTS Certification required.
2. Proven track record of managing contracts within the roofing industry.
