Intercity Technology is recruiting for a highly skilled and motivated Contracts Manager to manage, maintain, and develop our contractual agreements across our diverse supplier and customer ecosystems. We are looking for a professional to ensure our contracts are robust, compliant, and commercially advantageous, contributing to the commercial growth and operational resilience of our business.

Key Responsibilities As a Contracts Manager

  1. Draft, Negotiate, Review, and Manage Contracts: Handle a broad portfolio of contracts, including customer agreements, supplier contracts, MSAs, SaaS agreements, SLAs, NDAs, renewals, and amendments.
  2. First Point of Contact: Act as the first point of contact for all contractual matters and queries.
  3. Contract Register and Milestone Tracker: Maintain an organised, auditable contract register and key milestone tracker.
  4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal governance, group policies, and applicable laws and regulations such as GDPR, Data Protection, and Ofcom.
  5. Contractual Advice: Provide clear, pragmatic contractual advice to internal stakeholders whilst addressing emerging regulatory risks across procurement, finance, sales, delivery, and senior leadership.
  6. Support Procurement and Bid Teams: Assist with the evaluation of commercial terms and tender documentation.
  7. Process Improvements: Drive improvements to contracting processes, templates, playbooks, and internal workflows.
  8. Automated CLM Systems: Support the development of automated contract lifecycle management systems (CLM).
Key Skills and Experience:

Education And Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
Experience and Knowledge:

  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in contract management, legal support, or commercial operations within a B2B or technology-led organisation.
  2. In-depth understanding of commercial and contractual law principles.
  3. Experience managing both supplier and customer contracts, ideally within the technology, telecoms, or MSP sector.
  4. Ability to negotiate complex terms and conditions independently and pragmatically.
  5. Familiarity with standard contract types including software licensing, service agreements, data processing, and cloud solutions.
  6. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent contracts.
Competencies and Skills:

  1. Strong business and financial understanding, with the ability to align contract performance with commercial objectives.
  2. Highly skilled in negotiating contract terms, balancing risk and opportunity, while maintaining strong relationships.
  3. Ability to identify and resolve complex contract issues quickly and effectively, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  4. Meticulous in contract analysis and performance monitoring, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
  5. Ability to take initiative, lead projects, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver results on time and within scope.
