Hours: 35.75 hours per week

Grade and Salary: Grade 7 (£38,249 - £42,882)

Join Our Dynamic Team as a Contracts & Compliance Manager!

Are you skilled in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to manage our Hard Facilities Management (HFM) operations.

What You'll Do:

  1. Manage specialist engineering contracts and legislative compliance activities.
  2. Ensure safe and compliant operation of university plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
  3. Lead investigations and resolve complex technical issues critical to business continuity and safety.
  4. Oversee building services maintenance contracts, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, surveys, inspections, and reactive repairs.
  5. Prepare tender documents, cost estimates, and manage project delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Expertise: Significant experience in managing HFM M&E operations in large buildings, contract management, cost planning and risk control for building services (MEP) issues.
  2. Professionalism: High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  3. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective planning and operational management; innovative problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects and budgets; strong commercial awareness; well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office, BMS and CAFM.
  4. Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to meet workload and team requirements.
