Overview

Gallagher UK is partnering with Career Returners for a second year to launch our Career Returners Programme aimed at supporting returning professionals whose previous careers were in Insurance, Financial Services or Consulting industries.

We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Contracts Specialist to join our team. This position is perfect for a Returner with legal experience who is looking to take the next step in your career. How you'll make an impact

As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing contract drafting and technical expertise to our broking teams in London and local offices across EMEA and APAC regions. Your work will have a direct impact on our clients and the success of our business.

• Develop and produce reinsurance contracts covering a range of reinsurance lines, including Property and Casualty business and Life Reinsurance.
• Provide technical analysis of contract wording, suggesting improvements, coverage enhancements, and compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
• Support and resolve contract-related queries from Clients, Underwriters, and internal customers.
• Stay up to date with the latest market developments and clauses, ensuring that the latest guidance is communicated to all relevant parties.
• Support and drive process improvement and innovation.
• Ensure all contracts align with the Contract Certainty Code of Practice and adhere to the London Market Reform guidelines.

About You

• Experience in a similar role drafting or reviewing contracts, or relevant expertise gained from a legal or insurance background.
• Knowledge of contract construction and clause language.
• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Communication skills with the ability to discuss and explain contractual language to various audiences.
• Ability to organize and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, as required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
