Job Title: Contract & Supplier Manager

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in their Sussex office)

Salary: £45,000-£55,000

About the Role:

We are partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking utilities organisation that’s embarking on an exciting new chapter with their Business Plan 2025-2030. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Contract & Supplier Manager to join their successful team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving the delivery of their Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy, working alongside business leaders and supply chain partners to raise performance levels, foster innovation, and ensure strong, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of the SRM strategy with executive sponsors and business units.
• Engage and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimise supply chain performance.
• Coordinate supply chain engagement forums and facilitate “Voice of the Supplier” surveys to improve relationships.
• Identify and mitigate risks and relationship challenges, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Develop actionable insights and use data to continuously improve supply chain performance.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and is experienced in managing and developing supplier relationships. You’ll be confident in building relationships at all levels and capable of navigating ambiguity to make decisions. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be key in influencing stakeholders and driving strategic outcomes.

This is a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable working under pressure and adaptable to changing situations. You’ll also be driven by continuous improvement and have a curious, problem-solving mindset.

• Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management or Contract Management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Strong track record in managing supplier relationships, driving performance improvements, and executing SRM strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on using data-driven insights to drive decisions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex relationships and resolve tensions.
• Ability to thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment, making decisions with incomplete information.
