Job Title: Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract Duration: 6 –12 month contract (rolling)

Employment Type: Inside IR35

Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Inventor or SolidWorks experience to undertake a varied long–term contract.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks to work across a number of key New Product Development projects undertaking detailed conceptual design and supporting the complete project life–cycle. You will also support re–engineering / existing product upgrades.

As Contract Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the ability to:

1. Undertake Mechanical Design of New Product Development (complete product Life–cycle)
2. Undertake detailed designs using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor)
3. Concept Generation
4. Produce Documentation to support Development
5. Knowledge of manufacturing methods

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

1. Proven mechanical design experience within a fast–paced development environment (Ideally 4–5 years min)
2. Experience working on instrumentation of similar complex electro–mechanical products.
3. 3D CAD – SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
4. Full Product Life–cycle Design Experience.
