Job description

Job Title: Contract Manager - Fire Protection

Location: Walsall
Salary: Up to £52,000 + car allowance
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reports to: Branch Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager - Fire Protection to join the team in Walsall. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple projects ranging from £40k to £2M, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and successful delivery of fire protection projects.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess issues and select appropriate fire-stopping solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and fire-stopping products.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, supervising both directly employed operatives and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure health & safety documentation is produced and maintained in line with current legislation.
  • Use systems such as Bolster or Site Audit Pro to collate evidence of completed works.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection regulations and fire-stopping products.
  • Ability to produce and manage health & safety documentation.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • SMSTS Certification.
  • Suitable Contract Management qualifications.

Desirable:

  • A degree in Surveying/Building or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in contract management within a maintenance or refurbishment environment.
