Contract Manager Building Services

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with strong technical knowledge in building services to oversee the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment contracts across a portfolio of high-end residential properties in London. This role requires a hands-on leader with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering and a proven ability to manage projects, teams, and budgets to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day management of maintenance and building services contracts across multiple sites in London.
Ensure all technical works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Lead on the planning and execution of refurbishment and infrastructure upgrade projects.
Allocate and supervise mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance works carried out by internal teams and subcontractors.
Manage supplier relationships, including the raising and approval of purchase orders and invoices.
Maintain and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accuracy.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies, while responding effectively to reactive maintenance needs.
Lead and support a team of property and maintenance professionals, including performance management and training.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate compliance records.
Liaise with senior stakeholders to provide regular updates on contract performance and project progress.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with company policies and procedures.
Carry out additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience in a Contract Manager role within building services, maintenance, or facilities management (Essential)
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems within a property environment (Essential)
Recognised qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent) (Essential)
Excellent understanding of building services, compliance standards, and relevant legislation (Essential)
Experience managing teams and contractors in a high-end or residential property environment (Essential)
Strong project management, budgeting, and supplier coordination skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property maintenance systems
