Contract Manager | London | £57,057 Plus Free Rail Travel and Final Salary Pension | Hybrid


The Opportunity

An Award Winning Train Operator has a brand new requirement for a confident Contract Manager, to support them in an exciting period of growth, as they transition into public ownership. You will play an integral role in the Supply Chain in an autonomous role, joining the £Billion Rail industry.


Responsibilities:

  1. Responsibility for category Contract Management activity, working with internal departments to ensure that they follow best practice and deliver best value for the business.
  2. You will work closely with business owners, key stakeholders, and the finance and procurement teams.
  3. Integral part of our Supply Chain team where you will hold key responsibilities associated with the delivery and success of contracts, as well as the delivery of wider strategic objectives.
  4. Responsible for managing supplier contracts and relevant systems.
  5. Responsible for tracking all documents and contract changes, and participating in contract negotiation and change negotiations as required.
  6. Monitor KPI's and, if necessary, work with stakeholders and suppliers to provide performance solutions.
  7. Lead the process of analysing contract issues to identify and eliminate risks and optimize value for the company.
  8. Act as an escalation point within your category.
  9. Work with the Senior Contract Manager to identify process efficiencies.

The Candidate:

  1. Previous experience as a Contract Manager, ideally within public or private sector.
  2. Experience of carrying out contract management activity across a broad range of goods, works and services.
  3. Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions (standard commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, NDA's, etc).
  4. Strong negotiation skills with commercial awareness.
  5. Desirable: Experience of working within a TOC or Rail environment.

Location:

London (hybrid, minimum 2 days a week in office)


Salary:

£57,057 plus

Final salary pension scheme.
33 days of annual leave, inclusive of public holidays.
