Contract Manager

A career defining opportunity for a Contract Manager to join a big name in the maintenance sector who continues to grow as a major player in the market. With a consistent stream of contract awards we are looking for a Contract Manager who is motivated and ambitious to achieve the most out of their career.

Looking after a large commercial property in between Reading and High Wycombe, you will be reporting into an Area General Manager responsible for a contract value of circa GBP1.5 million, managing the P&L and ensuring SLAs and KPIs are exceeded across PPM and reactive works from a team of engineers. Additionally, you will be responsible for quoting works, managing the onsite team, and demonstrating excellent stakeholder management.

Key duties & Responsibilities

1. Reporting to Area General Manager
2. Running Profit and Loss (P&L)
3. Managing KPI and SLA's
4. Technical support for both the client and the engineering team
5. Managing the company's quality procedures on site
6. Management of client relationships on a daily basis
7. Attending client meetings
8. Dealing with client's requirements including additional projects / works
9. Recruitment
10. Developing staff, annual appraisals etc
11. Managing staff absenteeism and being responsible for disciplinary issues
12. Reports
13. Winning and managing additional business opportunities
14. Responsible for the permit system
15. Managing the company's H&S and environmental performance on the contract

Requirements

1. Technically qualified - Apprenticeship / City & Guilds qualifications in Electrical Installations / Mechanical Engineering / Air Conditioning / HVAC
2. Experience in managing contracts / maintenance teams
3. Experience working in Commercial / High Rise / Legal / IT / Critical / Trading environments
4. Personable and good people skills
5. Driven and motivated
6. Computer skills
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
