Job description

Are you an experienced lifting professional looking for an exciting opportunity? Join our dynamic team at Radius Group and take your career to the next level!

As a Radius Contract Lift Manager, you will be skilled in establishing lasting relationships with our clients. You will survey, quote, engineer, win and deliver your lifting projects to the highest standards found within our industry. We work nationwide, dependent on project location, predominately operating in the Midlands and the South.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Site Meetings & Surveys – Attend meetings and conduct surveys to assist in producing detailed and accurate project drawings.
  2. Lifting Plans & Drawings – Create comprehensive lifting plans, including elevation and slinging drawings.
  3. Coordination & Planning – Develop logistics and traffic management plans to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  4. Analysis & Documentation – Perform vehicle sweep path analysis and prepare necessary reports and cost estimates.
  5. Project Estimation – Prepare competitive and accurate quotes for lifting projects.
  6. Client Communication – Ensure all lifting documentation is compiled and submitted professionally.
  7. Quality Assurance – Review and validate colleagues’ lift plans to maintain high standards.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

We welcome applications from candidates who have some or all of the following:

Appointed Person (Lifting Operations)
  • Ability to plan and document lifting operations, including risk assessments and equipment selection.
  • Conduct safety inspections and implement incident reporting.
  • Supervise lifting operations and ensure compliance with BS7121 & LOLER/PUWER regulations.
  • Authority to stop a lift if safety concerns arise.

Lift/Crane Supervisor
  • Experienced & competent in supervising lifting operations.
  • Verify certification and safety checks before operations.
  • Ensure the lift aligns with the lift plan, documenting any deviations.

Slinger/Signaller
  • Trained in slinging and signalling operations.
  • Perform pre- and post-use checks on lifting accessories.
  • Use agreed signals to direct crane movements and ensure load control.
