Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Role Summary

Critical role to support the launch of a new approach to the Sexual Health landscape of Devon. We are seeking an experienced contract manager to negotiate, role out and create an assurance framework for primary care contracts with GPs, Pharmacies and Third Sector organisations.

About the Role

Devon and Torbay's sexual health contract has just been awarded to Royal Devon Trust for the next 7-10 years. We are the incumbents but we are taking on a bigger scope of services and are excited to be leading the system across Devon and Torbay. Part of this shift will involve us managing 80+ GP contracts for contraceptive delivery (specifically LARCs) and emergency contraceptive (EC) delivery from all pharmacies across Devon and Torbay (over 300). We are seeking someone who can help us engage, negotiate and deliver new contracts for these primary care elements as well as implement an assurance framework covering performance and quality that will allow us to notice good and bad practice and implement change as required and highlight excellent practice. We are also subcontracting other elements including a third sector partner organisation whom we work closely with and will be looking for this role to support and lead on elements of this work, again around contract assurance.

We are looking for someone experienced in setting up contracts, negotiating terms and then creating good systems to monitor and evaluate them. This is a 12 month fixed term role linked to the mobilisation of the new contract. The Trust has a small internal contracts team and professional supervision will be provided by this team while the role will be managed and based within Sexual Health.

Secondments would be considered.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday. 9-5 (some flexibility may be possible)

Interview Date: To be confirmed

For further information please contact: Richard Foley, Senior Operational Manager on 07908405005 or email richard.foley1@nhs.net

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
