About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Content and Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team here at the Old Course Hotel. In this role, you will manage our social media platforms and create compelling content giving personality and consistency across all channels.

We are looking for someone who knows how to tell a compelling story – whether it’s through a well-timed Instagram Reel, a scroll-stopping LinkedIn post, or an immersive brand newsletter. You will have an eye for detail, a playful yet strategic approach, and a deep understanding of what makes content resonate across different platforms. If you thrive on turning ideas into shareable moments, crafting narratives that spark conversation, and pushing boundaries, this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Develop and implement a dynamic social media strategy that aligns with brand objectives and drives engagement across platforms.
  • Produce compelling, story-led content that highlights our offerings and connects with our audience across the website, email newsletters, and beyond.
  • Develop diverse content formats, including short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts), photography, graphics, GIFs, and written copy.
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers to plan and oversee daily social media activity, ensuring a cohesive brand voice and visual identity.
  • Oversee paid social media campaigns, working closely with Brand Managers and agency partners to maximize impact.
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance content marketing and social media efforts.
  • Monitor platform updates, viral moments, and cultural trends to ensure our brand remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.
  • Foster community engagement by responding to comments, initiating conversations, and strengthening audience relationships.
  • Write engaging social media captions that inform, entertain, and drive action.

To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience:

  • You will be a creative storyteller with a sharp eye for content and a strong grasp of digital marketing best practices. You know how to craft compelling narratives, write with impact, and bring ideas to life across platforms.
  • A natural multitasker who can juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines, and keep things running smoothly—whether leading a campaign or coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative communicator who thrives on teamwork, effortlessly working with both internal and external stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
  • Detail-obsessed and quick on your feet, you can adapt and deliver in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • BA degree in Marketing and Communications or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role with proven experience in social media marketing.

Hours
Permanent, Full-time 40hrs over 5 days

Remuneration
£35,000 - £36,000 per annum

Benefits

  • Free meals and drinks in our complimentary staff canteen
  • Discounts across the resort including in our restaurants, room rates, pro shop and golf course
  • Wider group discounts within Kohler group.
  • Free access to our on-site gym and spa facility.
  • Free access to The Dukes Championship Golf Course
  • 24/7 access to the Employee Assistance Programme
