The Supercritical mission
Supercritical provides radical transparency in price, availability, and quality with our marketplace, helping the largest companies in the world to secure top-tier CDR credits quickly and confidently. We simplify procurement and reduce risk in a nascent, complex, ever-changing market. Forward-thinking companies like The Economist Group, Virgin Atlantic, and Rothschild & Co trust Supercritical to meet their demand for high-quality carbon removal for immediate climate action today, not decades from now.
Why is carbon removal critical?
Carbon removal includes nature-based solutions like biochar and cutting-edge technologies that literally pull carbon from the sky and store it underground for millennia. We need to scale to remove 10 billion tonnes a year by 2050 to stay below 1.5 degrees of warming. This will be a trillion dollar industry by 2050.
