Job description

As a Content Creator & Video Editor, you will be responsible for producing high-quality instructional videos and digital content to help customers understand, assemble, use, and maintain products. You will work closely with our Customer Experience team to ensure content is clear, engaging, and informative.


This is a Fixed term role for approx 3 months with possible extension to permanent, full-time permanent role for a suitable candidate.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, script, shoot, and edit "How-To" video guides for products.
  2. Film high-quality step-by-step demonstrations of product assembly, usage, and maintenance.
  3. Edit videos with clear graphics, text overlays, and voiceovers to enhance user understanding.
  4. Capture high-quality product images and create supplementary digital content.
  5. Optimise videos for YouTube, social media, and company website to improve reach and engagement.
  6. Conduct research on customer pain points and FAQs to create relevant content.
  7. Stay updated on trends in video production, editing, and content marketing.

Skills & Qualifications
  1. Proven experience in video production and editing (portfolio required).
  2. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Suite & Canva.
  3. Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
  4. Experience with camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
  5. Ability to create graphics and basic animations.
  6. Knowledge of SEO and video optimization for digital platforms.
  7. Passion for gardening and power tools is a bonus!
  8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract, could lead to a permanent role.


Pay: £25,350 - £29,250


Expected hours: 37.5 per week


This is an office-based role based just south of York, must live within an easy commuting distance from York.
