Our Content Creator is responsible for developing and delivering optimised content that supports our business objectives within the Customer Business element of ScottishPower.
Together with the Content Strategist and wider marketing team you’ll develop content strategies and create and collate content that delivers commercial results: increasing online visibility, traffic and SEO rankings, improving levels of customer engagement and customer support.
Speed to market is absolutely key for the Retail business, and as such you’ll need to be able to deliver within a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple initiatives and stakeholders at any point in time.
You will tell the Customer Business brand story and paint the picture of our product offering, leading the delivery of our content strategy that inspires existing customers and intrigues new ones. You will collaborate with the wider Marketing department to deliver best in class content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion. You will support the development of the SEO strategy that helps to deliver against the business objectives. Monitoring the performance of content and ensuring we are continually improving through relevant tracking and measurement software, Google Analytics and Google Search Console and translating these into clear and compelling content to meet business objectives.
A creative and collaborative spirit with proven work experience as a content creator across various platforms. Ability to create your own content and guide others to deliver content, including internal teams and external agencies. Knowledge and experience of managing content for social media and web platforms with the ability to guide online content strategy and content delivery. A strong knowledge of SEO strategy and key measurement approach using Google Analytics and SEMRush (or similar) software to track reporting on key metrics on a regular basis.
You’ll ideally hold a BSc/BA in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field, although not essential, but you will have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Bringing your ability to research and recommend content plans to deliver compelling content and meet business objectives using your time-management and organizational skills.
The Content Creator will be creating content that will be utilised across our social media channels. Therefore, this role will require you to adapt to creating content in various formats including video content edited for social platforms.
You will support the Content Strategist to monitor content and help with reporting across the different platforms.
