Container Transport Planner

Container Transport Planner - Southampton - Up to 40,000

Our client, a recognized transport company, is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton, UK.

As a Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with containers and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday (1 in 4 Saturdays)

Salary: Up to 40,000

The Role:

• Routing company-owned vehicles
• Plan routes as cost-effectively as possible
• Plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers' Hours
• Ensure all customers are kept up to date
• Complete all necessary admin
• Work with the Manager to ensure all vehicles comply with company standards
• Perform and implement General Administration, e.g., costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, and handling queries in accordance with the company's requirements.

The Requirements:

• Extensive transport route planning skills
• Container experience preferred, but a planning background with a transport company will be considered
• Excellent geographical knowledge
• Strong communication skills
