About the department :
Austin Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychiatry service provides a consultation-liaison service for medical and surgical inpatients at Austin Health comprising of the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, and Royal Talbot Hospital.
Our service addresses the interface of medicine and psychiatry and aims to improve the quality of care for all patients at Austin Health with co-existing psychiatric, psychological or behavioural difficulties affecting their medical management.
About the role :
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist - Consultation Liaison, who is interested in improving health outcomes across the general hospital setting, to join our Mental Health Division on a permanent basis.
We are seeking someone who relishes the complex and rewarding work of a liaison psychiatrist within a multidisciplinary team.
You will be working with a team of professionals to make a difference to consumers impacted by mental health difficulties.
Person centred care will be at the core of what you do, and the successful candidate will be guided by the Austin Health values.
