This is an exciting opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Coastal West Sussex Care Delivery Service. The role is to work in the Worthing crisis and home treatment team and provide senior medical care to patients assessed at the Haven in Meadowfield, Worthing.
This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to (up to) £8000 relocation allowance. The RRP payment is paid in the following instalments:

The post holder will provide assessments and treatment plans for patients under the care of the crisis and home treatment team and attending the Haven for extended assessment.
You will work closely with bed management processes to facilitate patient flow and work closely with the MDT in the Haven unit to provide high quality patient care.
In the Worthing Crisis Team, you will work closely with the medical staff based on the acute wards. You will also provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and aftercare services to patients in crisis, aged 18 and above, who have been referred to the team.
You will provide clinical leadership and line management to junior medical staff reporting directly to you. There is also the opportunity to develop posts and take on the educational and clinical supervision of GP or core mental health trainees and higher trainees, as agreed by the locality tutor.
