Ealing is a highly diverse and vibrant borough in the west of London. Home to around 370,000 people, it is the third largest borough by population in London and is an exciting, diverse and challenging place to live and work.
The post will provide Consultant leadership on healthcare public health, sexual & reproductive health and HIV, NHS Health Checks, tobacco and healthcare public health. There are exciting areas of local innovation and strong partnership working within these areas, with scope to further develop our systems leadership role and drive changes. This is an exciting time for sexual & reproductive health as we work closely with London boroughs to progress this agenda and develop our integrated sexual and reproductive service offer. We are tackling high smoking rates through our recently launched Ealing Smokefree Service and voluntary sector partnerships. The post will provide support to the Director of Public Health, senior officers and NHS partners on matters relating to healthcare public health. This post will line manage two Public Health Principals.
Your collegiate style and high-quality advice will be respected by internal and external partners, as will your ability to work closely across a wide range of council departments, across the local borough-based partnership, with voluntary, community and faith sectors, and with community members themselves.
The team has a strong learning ethos and provides a very supportive environment and an opportunity to support wider team development.
There has never been a better time to join the team at Ealing.
