Join Bracknell Forest Council as a Consultant in Public Health and be at the forefront of transforming our community's health and wellbeing.
We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive innovative public health strategies, collaborate with partners and inspire positive change. If you are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you!
At Bracknell Forest, we pride ourselves on being a council which is stable and well-managed where our employees can thrive in a supportive environment. We understand the importance of a good work-life balance and offer a variety of flexible working practices and hybrid working opportunities, allowing you to work in the office and from home.
The Consultant in Public Health (Public Health Programmes and Services) will lead the development, integration and delivery of Bracknell Forest Council's public health duties across the organisation and wider health and wellbeing system. This will include providing expert advice to elected members and senior leaders, steering strategy development and delivery. You will also be advocating for evidence-based commissioning within the council, NHS and ICS and leading pan Berkshire and East Berkshire joint Public Health commissioning programmes.
The role also involves inspiring and motivating the public health workforce, managing the public health grant and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and partnership working. Additionally, you will participate in public health emergency response when needed.
Working in public health at Bracknell Forest Council means being part of a friendly and dynamic team that values flexibility in working styles. We have a clear vision that Bracknell Forest is one of the healthiest places for all to live, work, study and play.
The team benefits from collaborative leadership and fosters good relationships across the organisation and wider system to really affect change. It is a small but energetic team that thrives on mutual support and effective teamwork.
