An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician to join their team. This role requires a blend of acute and non-acute paediatric skills, focusing on providing top-notch patient care. The successful candidate will engage in outpatient clinics, on-call duties, and support clinical governance activities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care and contribute to the education of future medical professionals. This is a substantive post for a Consultant Paediatrician with acute and non-acute general paediatric and neonatal skills required for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The sub-specialist area of work for this post is in supporting clinical governance activity.
The core components of the post will include outpatient general paediatric and neonatal follow-up clinics, on-call and hot week cover of the acute paediatric service and neonatal care.
Applicants must have clinical experience and competencies for the broad range of acute inpatient and outpatient general paediatric problems and expertise in the delivery of neonatal care.
There are close links with the community paediatric service and emergency department and comprehensive cross-service, multidisciplinary and interagency working. The successful candidate will be contracted by the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. They are expected to be aware of local policies and procedures and to comply with the standing orders and standing financial instructions of the Trust. In particular, where the Consultant is responsible for the management of employees of the Trust, they will be expected to observe the local employment and human resource policies and procedures.
The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
